Dr. Leigh Seamon is board certified in both Gynecologic Oncology and Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama and her master’s degree in Public Health with specialization in Clinical Investigation from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Seamon received her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. She completed her internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, her residency in obstetrics and gynecology with Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center (GRMERC)/Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at The Ohio State University Medical Center /Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Seamon specializes in phase I clinical trials and drug developmental therapeutics as well as cytoreductive surgeries for gynecologic malignancy. She has published various peer reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters. She has received numerous local and national awards for her academic and clinical achievement.
