Facility Info

Established in 2023 through collaboration with Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and University College Dublin, START Dublin represents a historic milestone as the first dedicated early phase center in the Republic of Ireland, filling a critical gap in clinical research infrastructure. Led by Director of Clinical Research, Austin Duffy, MB, BCh, MRCPI, DMed, this facility is committed to advancing early-phase oncology clinical trials in Ireland. In a country where studies typically involve Phase Ⅲ trials, the presence of a early phase unit at START Dublin greatly enhances patient access and availability. Our aspiration is to ensure that every patient has access to a suitable study, thereby broadening opportunities for participation in cutting-edge research.
