Partners in Hope
Bringing clinical trial options, education, and awareness to patient communities—right where they receive care.
Patient Advocacy Groups
START partners with patient advocacy organizations to make early-phase oncology trials easier to find, understand, and access—close to home. Through our Partners in Hope program, we collaborate on education, navigation, and outreach so more patients can consider research as a care option sooner.
Why START
The world’s largest community-based early-phase oncology site network, united by a mission of Hope Through Access.
Phase I Clinical Trials
About Early-Phase Clinical Trials (Phase I)
Early-phase trials evaluate novel therapies—targeted agents, immunotherapies, and combinations—for patients who have often exhausted other options. Participants receive study medications (no placebos, no randomization in Phase 1). These studies can offer real hope and expanded options for advanced cancers.
