
Henry Q. Xiong, MD, PhD

Dr. Henry Xiong obtained his medical degree from Shanghai Medical College. Henry then completed a PhD in biomedical sciences at Mount Sinai Medical School. After completing his PhD, Dr. Xiong did his internal medicine residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, followed by a Fellowship in medical oncology at The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center. After Fellowship, Dr. Xiong then served on faculty as an assistant professor in the department of Gastrointestinal Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. During his tenure at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Xiong specialized in gastrointestinal malignancies and conducted clinical research including phase I clinical trials.
Dr. Xiong joined the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in 2006 and brought a wealth of knowledge of gastrointestinal oncology and clinical research to North Texas. Henry remains focused on gastrointestinal malignancies and clinical research. Henry has published over 46 articles in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of clinical oncology and has served as a principal investigator for over 50 clinical trials.
Dr. Xiong is a member of ASCO where he served as educational committee chair for colorectal cancer 2017.
