Dr. Andrew Sochacki is the Associate Director of Hematology at START Midwest and a Hematologist and Medical Oncologist based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University. He subsequently completed a medical residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He then completed a Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, TN and served as Chief Fellow. During that time, he concurrently worked as a research fellow in the Hematopoiesis and Myeloid Biology Laboratory of Dr. Michael Savona. His clinical research interests include early phase drug development, Hematologic Malignancies, and Sarcoma. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology.

He is also a practicing subspecialist at Cancer and Hematology Centers of Western Michigan. There he serves as a member of the Malignant Hematology subspecialty team and as the lead physician for the Sarcoma subspecialty team. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Michigan State University.
