Dr. Miriam Dorta completed her medical degree at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2001–2007), followed by residency training in Medical Oncology at Hospital Universitario Doce de Octubre, during which she also completed a DEA (Diploma of Advanced Studies) at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
She holds advanced academic qualifications, including a Musculoskeletal Oncology Master from GEIS (Spanish Group for Sarcoma research) in 2017, and a Master in Molecular Oncology from CNIO (National Center for Oncology Research) in 2020.
In 2018–2019, Dr. Dorta undertook a fellowship at the Gustave Roussy Institute in France, specializing in thoracic tumors and early-phase clinical trials. During this period, she also earned the Diplôme Universitaire Européen de Recherche Translationnelle et Clinique.
She has served as Principal Investigator in numerous clinical trials, primarily focused on lung cancer, within the Thoracic Tumors Unit at HM CIOCC, and has also contributed to all-comers studies at START Madrid-CIOCC.
Currently, Dr. Dorta chairs the Translational Molecular Tumor Board (TMTB) at Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital and serves as Clinical Coordinator of the TMTB within the GETTHI group.
