Danette Slevinski brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare law, compliance, and privacy to her role as Vice President of Compliance at The START Center for Cancer Research. In this capacity, she oversees regulatory, corporate, and privacy compliance, spearheading initiatives to ensure that the organization consistently upholds the highest standards of integrity, quality, and compliance. Under her leadership, START will continue to develop and implement robust programs that proactively address the evolving compliance landscape.

Before joining START, Danette held senior leadership roles at renowned healthcare institutions, including Atlantic Health System, University Hospital, Bon Secours Health Systems, NYU Langone Health, and NYC Health + Hospitals. Her expertise spans compliance, privacy, and enterprise risk management, and she has a proven track record of assessing, developing, and strengthening compliance and risk management programs to mitigate organizational risk and promote a culture of compliance.

A recognized thought leader in privacy and compliance, Danette is passionate about partnering with leadership to design and implement privacy and compliance programs “by design.” Her strategic guidance helps organizations build sustainable processes that align with both regulatory requirements and business objectives, ensuring that compliance is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of operations.
